Betel International businesses vary depending on their location around the world. Many of the Betel centers have set up furniture stores to financially support their programs. Betel of America has trademarked its furniture stores ‘Nook n’ Crannie’.

The first Nook n’ Crannie opened its doors in February 2007 on Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria. Our desire was to create high caliber stores of which the residents would be proud. They contribute greatly to the running and daily maintenance of the stores. They carry out deliveries and furniture pick ups. Some are also involved in furniture restoration. We aim to have stores with great ambiance, clean and pleasant surroundings, an eclectic mix of furniture, antiques, vintage and retro items at affordable prices.

All profit generated through the stores goes directly to benefit the residents in our program. All staff are volunteers or current residents.
